While ongoing financial support is always appreciated, we need a number of items on a regular basis.
- Hay. We feed grass hay only (no alfalfa), it runs around $20/bale. We go thru a bale every 1 1/2 meals.
- Farrier. We are on a 20-week schedule for trims for the donkeys. They are $50 each. This helps keep their feet in great condition and decreases the chances of lameness.
- Hoof trim. The cows get their hooves trimmed once a year. $80 per head.
- Carrots. The donkeys LOVE carrots and they are a good, healthy snack.
- Purina Cattle Cubes. AKA Cow cookies!!! A bag runs about $22.
- Chicken feed. We go thru a bag every 2 weeks. A bag runs about $22
- Sweet Feed Grain for Auggie Norman.. A bag runs about $25.
